Spotify Sunday: Let’s Get Heavy

Welcome to Spotify Sunday! Every week, I’ll share one playlist I’ve curated for the week. Themes will range from workout, running, meditation, feel-good, and more. Because I don’t believe in just randomly throwing you shit without justification, I’ll give a song list, some insight into how it was collected, and a link to the Spotify Playlist. Also, you can follow us on Spotify for the most up-to-date playlists.

The Heaviest Heavy Workout and Running Songs

Since this is our first Sunday, I’ve decided to kick shit off with a bang. This list is HEAVY, in case the title didn’t clue you in. For workout sake, it clocks in at almost exactly 1 hour. We start with a staple of mine, Canto 34. This is probably the most get-up-and-move instrumental I’ve ever heard, and it keeps making its way onto my workout lists. High-energy, fast-paced stuff follows throughout, with a couple rhythmic slowdowns thrown in. ‘Prey’, ‘Absolute Zero’, and ‘Vice Grip’ are all nice groove rhythms to slow your pace a bit and catch your breath. Because I felt like it was necessary, we finish off with ‘The Air That I Breathe’ and ‘Are You Dead Yet?’. If this list gets to you like it does me, you’ll certainly feel like it.
